ॐ लोकाः समस्ताः सुखिनो भवन्तु

Oṃ lokāh samastāh sukhino bhavantu

May all beings everywhere be happy and free. May our practice contribute to the happiness and freedom of all.

Climate Change is revealing the consequences of unsustainable human behavior with increasing occurrences of natural disasters, outbreaks of disease and pandemics across the planet, rapid species extinction, mega-storms, the loss of polar ice, rising carbon dioxide, billions of tons of plastic coating the land, water, and internal organs, topsoil depletion, unknown chemical pollution, and more. Our future depends on our ability to care not only about reducing emissions of natural gases to combat Climate Change, but also to simply just care more about our everyday relationships with the animals and environment in our local and global communities. We need to re-balance our day-to-day priorities to include animals and the environment in our dreams and longterm goals! We need to re-wild and re-relate! We need to remember that animals and the environment are family too and we need to get active on their behalf!

BAE (Boulder Animals & Environment) YOGA classes unite yoga and activism for a happy planet. We donate money from yoga class profits to animal rights and/or environmental protection organizations. BAE YOGA champions community events and campaigns that engage our collective energy and personal knowledge of sustainability, zero-waste, and animal-friendly lifestyles. In this way, BAE YOGA offers a very practical connection between yoga and activism, between self-care and care for others. We aim to put our time and our money where our mouth is and dedicate the merit of our practice to the benefit of all beings.

BAE YOGA activities were put on hold as of 2020 with the onset of COVID-19 but we hope to return to action soon.
